Traffic Park Bilaspur

The Traffic Park in Bilaspur is designed as an interactive learning environment that combines road safety education with public recreation. The layout is based on a scaled urban road system, simulating real traffic conditions to help users—especially children—understand rules and behavior in a controlled setting. The park features a network of miniature roads, intersections, roundabouts, and pedestrian crossings, integrated with functional traffic signals and signage as per Indian Roads Congress guidelines. Supporting facilities include a small administrative block, training areas, and open green spaces. Architecturally, the built forms are low-rise, simple, and functional, using durable materials suited to the local climate. The landscape incorporates tree-lined pathways, shaded areas, and native planting, enhancing comfort while reinforcing the experience of real urban streets. Overall, the project acts as a civic educational space, promoting traffic awareness, safe mobility practices, and community engagement within an accessible and environmentally responsive design.
